alex & beau tied the knot

I know I say that I’m obsessed a lot, but I’m obsessed with this above picture of Alex’s Jimmy Choo’s and with her beautiful ring as a heel accent!

My love story with Alex and her mom Lynn all started outside a restaurant in 100 degree weather! You see, I try to be omnipresent for my clients, so answering the phone before walking into lunch is a normal thing for me! Then Alex and I hit it off and we talked for about 45 minutes about her amazing wedding she was planning for the Spring…all while my very patient boyfriend waited inside for me!

From there, we went on to spend many lunch meetings, walkthroughs, phone calls, and email together discussing the amazing design that her mom had so meticulously thought out! And when I say meticulous…. she literally thought of everything! I am so happy that they trusted me to contribute to the design and bring it all to life!

On a day that threatened rain, but miraculously left us dry, Alex and Beau tied the knot on the iconic St. Charles Ave. at Alex’s high school alma mater, Sacred Heart Academy! (I live right across from Sacred Heart, so I get to gawk at its beauty constantly, but it totally translates so well on film) Those columns, the hedges, the gates…so stunning!

After an oh-so-beautiful ceremony, they partied all night with LA Spice at the Audubon Tea Room—and about a thousand amazing wedding details! The guests entered through the courtyard with hundreds of mason jars scattered in the grass- what a beautiful welcome!  Inside, the guests found a glamorous mix of burlap and mercury glass- so classy and Southern!

For the Apps and drinks, monogrammed napkins.

For the dancers, we had socks and flip flops.

For the ladies, every essential they could need throughout the night.

For those who wanted to enjoy the weather, we had lounges outside.

For the chilly, blankets to keep them warm.

For the beer drinkers, we had a self serve bar, equipped with a vintage bottle opener.

For the bars, signs to “drink and repeat”

For the bride and groom, Mr. and Mrs. Forks.

For everyone, the best damn party I’ve seen in a while!

Enjoy the details through the beautiful pictures by Jessica Bachmann and her team of photogs!
