Ahh the memories these photos bring back! When building my website way back when, I collaborated with some generous vendors for content to show my design style. The outcome far exceeded any expectations. After two full features on The Knotty Bride (see here and here), these photos in print in three national magazines, and thousands of re-pins on Pinterest, this shoot was the perfect jump start to Tying the Knot!

    until the end of time

I have a confession to make (that I’m sure you are all well aware of!)– I am a huge sucker for all things soft, dainty, and vintage! So when I got a call from a stranger who had the brainchild of  a vintage rental company in New Orleans, I just knew that I had to learn more about her and the company she called Mrs. Vintage! After a coffee date with Mrs. Vintage herself, we decided that the best way to feature her items and her brand new company was to design a shoot around vintage romance! I grabbed one of my favorite photographers (Greer G) and one of my favorite couples (Lindsay and James) and we set a date to bring Mrs. Vintage to life! Below is the gorgeousness that we created for her debut!

    dreaming of spring

    Happy happy new years, y’all!

New year… New goals! I can’t wait to achieve them all and take you on the journey with me! Looking forward to so many of your weddings in 2012!

And with the turn of the new year, I am already dreaming of the Spring 2012 wedding season! Bright colored flowers, beautiful weather, and a bunch of gorgeous brides!

I wanted to share a bit of gorgeousness to get us in the spring spirit!! I wish that I could claim credit for this bright, beautiful wedding, but complete credit goes to the uber creative bride Lacey and her spectacular photographer! Lacey planned, designed, and floralized her entire wedding! She even designed her wedding dress! She made one other great addition to her wedding…Mark and Heather of Mark Eric Photography!

Luckily, I have many friends in the wedding industry! Last week, I introduced you to one of my sorority sisters who opened Southern Flash Photobooth! Now I want to introduce you to another sorority sister of mine, Kaela Rodehorst, who has taken her love for photography and turned it into a career!
I just had to test her skills for myself- and it doesn’t hurt that I get these gorgeous pictures out of it too! I didn’t want these pictures to be too formal since this wasn’t a true engagement session, so I told Kaela I wanted some fun and unique pictures- in front of graffiti! She knew just the spot with a few colorful wall! Not only did she know the perfect spot, but she made us feel completely comfortable- and we needed it since neither of us are in any way models nor had we taken formal pictures! He is going to hate me for saying this, but my boyfriend was pretty nervous about this little shoot! Kaela’s instruction put us right at ease and made us feel like professionals- the sign of a great photographer :)
We walked away with such a great experience, gorgeous pictures, and Jack’s new love for modeling! He was the groom for my photo shoot last week- pictures that you will see very soon! Enjoy!
